Christmas Holidays

We have had a very busy household for the last couple of weeks.  I was not the best at capturing as many photos as I desired – so needless

to say there were lots of memories & events not captured.   We started off the week prior to Christmas with my parents coming in early

to help me bake and do grocery outings to begin the stocking up.  Then mid week my sister Donna and her clan came in from Atlanta, Georgia

Then came our son Matt from England and Donna’s oldest from New York City.  On Christmas Eve came the Stacer’s from Georgetown

and Ron’s mom and Jack from Mission, Texas.  On Christmas Day Ron’s dad Dick flew in from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  A very full but fun household.

Let the pictures begin -    some blurry but the smiles were worth keeping them -  Starting off with me loving on my nephew Sam

Rock band at Jen & B’s.

My new favorite veggie

I must say my new fav in the land of veggies is fresh Brussels sprouts.  I have been buying frozen far to long

and of course saw a great segment on "The Chew" on ABC on a stir fry  and tried it.

Tonight's dinner turkey tenderloin, Basmati brown rice, and a stir fry of Brussels sprouts, mushrooms and

onions.   I could so live off veggies -

Then there is Maggie who once Ron leaves his recliner runs in for the steal.  She was all bundled up

under her blankets most of the morning until she heard what she thought was food in the kitchen.   She

looked so funny trying to stay warm under the cold temps of our house and crazy cold Texas weather right

now.

We have been so warm this fall and early winter and I mean loving it.  Anything under 85 is considered winter

to me – and right now it is 37 outside.  Brrrrrr   I don’t know how you northerners do it.  So happy for hot tea about

six times a day.  Speaking of tea I must tell you how on earth have we survived with out an electric tea pot

I ask you?????   When we were in London/Oxford this fall Matt & Fi turned us on to them and life hasn’t been the

same.   Here's to warm tea, fireplaces and great company.   Cheer -  Happy Tuesday

Beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Weihnachts Christmas Parade

I love a parade I must say -  tonight was the Boerne Weihnachts Christmas Parade  so Ron and I loaded up lawn chairs and headed out

to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas.  A kid at heart – growing up loving the lights one can never grow tired of them.
