What a perfect day for cooking – God blessed us last night with 4.45”s of rain . Light rain continued mid day
which called for homemade soup & southern biscuits. I searched for a butternut soup recipe and found
one and tweaked it so much I should re-write it. Butternut squash, onions, celery, carrots, garlic,
etc. etc. It is delicious I must say - then there is nothing better then a biscuit from scratch -
thank you Alton Brown here’s his southern-biscuits recipe. Turn up the country and chop & cook away.
Those biscuits look AMAZING! How'd they taste? Shall I give them a shot?
ReplyDeletemmmmmm that looks SO DELICIOUS! I am going to check out the squash next time I actually get NEAR a grocery store (we usually have to shop online), as I'd love to try this. And I want to try the legendary biscuits too! Perhaps I can persuade Matt to make them for Thanksgiving.... ;-)
