Finally Ron and I headed to England to visit Matt & Fi. Matt moved over to Oxford last January and we knew at some point soon we wanted to head that way. A trip chalked full of first’s for us – what a delight, joy and so much fun. Treasured memories
We began by leaving here mid afternoon connecting in Houston for a long journey across the pond. When we arrived we connected to the bus terminal that heads out to Oxford a journey of an hour plus. It seem to pass like minutes since we were so excited to see our family and also to soak in all the “green” yes, green. Green pastures, green plants, green trees etc. For those of you in drought country you know what I mean.
Matt meet us at the bus station and we headed to lunch, then to meet up with Fi and off to go Punting.
The next day we were off to London – our bus ride in was again full of amazing wonders. We visited the London Eye
which allowed us to take in the city – The House of Parliament, Buckingham Palace - Big Ben -
We continued our walk along the River Thames – stopped at The Swan for a lovely beverage onto Burroughs Market for lunch -
the Tower Bridge was amazing HUGE
off on the bus back to Oxford and a another new day
