I often wonder if I did not get my love of country rides from way back when -
from my Grandma B when we would drive between Mechanicsville, Iowa to Olin getting
ice cream cones and covering the country side. Fast forward to now – both Ron and I love
taking off for hours searching the hill country for a new road, new find, a new country side
view and we found it today. A three hour ride prior to the hot temps – going out Edge Falls road circling
ending back up in Boerne at the Little Gretel for Apple Strudel & Cream. It was the Kendall Country
Parade down main street today and we were lucky enough to hit the tail end of it while enjoying
our apple strudels & ice cold beverage. Life is sweet! Thank you Jesus A morning spent in the country side on
a beautiful day with the love of my life.
This is the Guadalupe River with little to no water left. We use to tube & kayak down - no more until it rains.
trying to be artsy !
Check out this next pic – several years ago during our floods the water was past the top
of the bridge. Nuts to think about now, you can still see debris lodge under the bridge.
back in Boerne at the Gretel patio side catching the end of the parade.
